Now it's back to what guys like, after the George Clooney-fest for the ladies at my last two posts. Guys like Jessica Alba, no? EYE CANDY OF THE WEEK

NOW PLAYING: In the PODCASTS Section, we give you the skinny on our Premiere LIVE, call-in show at BlogTalkRadio.com. Check it out! Don't YOU ever wonder why so many Blogs are bull and doring? I know I do. You expect to find the same thing every day. How un-creative! I'd like to visit a Blog where I could expect the unexpected. So I decided to create one. This Web Blog was haphazardly produced without using Spell Check one danged time. We like it that way. Depending on the events of the day, we'll likely be bringing you information about a great new film on New Orleans from independent director Alex LeMay, "Desert Bayou," slated to appear in New York City in early October before rolling out across the country. You can catch "Desert Bayou" in the following cities on these dates:

Sunday (also known as Football Day) Noon: Wait a minute! An NFL game at Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom? How did this happen? Was I out of the room when they sent out the Memorandum? And where the heck is the New Orleans Saints game? O I get it! They don't usually show Saints games on broadcast cable channels here in AusTex. You have to have a special service or satellite. Former New Orleanians get dissed again... I was down in Houston this week doing another of my preview screening events for "Desert Bayou". It was interesting to flash in and out of another town - much as I did in New Orleans - as media flak. It put me back on the other side of the table and made me aware of how much time and effort it takes to promote anything these days. There are many reasons why being a flak is more difficult today than, say, back in the 1960s or even the 1980s. These days, in my view, just about everything - including individual people - has been commodified. That means it takes a lot more to build Buzz than it ever has before. With those challenges in mind, I've begun to broaden my horizons - in terms of the modalities I shall employ. For example, as you'll notice from the right sidebar, I've decided to come from behind-the-scenes in the podcast arena - where I've acted as producer this year - and actually become an on-air person for a live Internet radio show over at BlogTalkRadio.com. I hope you'll begin tuning into my show and call-in to speak directly to my guests or (gasp!) even me. You'll also be able to check shows after they've been taped by checking my archives at BlogTalkRadio.com or visiting the PODCASTS Section of this Blog. Meanwhile, I'm looking at (perhaps) doing some video production work. I'll keep you informed on that. Finally, I'm considering a MAJOR career augmentation. I'm not giving up any of my Day Jobs and I'll continue to do freelance writing but I'm considering adding another title to my list of functions. More soon. Attention Technorati WizardsSince claiming this Blog and a few others over at Technorati, I'll be danged if I can figure out how their spiders or bots work! I mean it. Though I use their ping form for here, as an example, they only manage to pick up a percentage of the posts we exactly publish. Take last update: the only article that Technorati noticed was the one entitled "Wind-up Doll News", even though I used the same Metatags and listing protocol for all of the new postings. I don't get it! If someone sympathetic out there has a clue, I'd certainly appreciate your sharing it with me. Who Says We Still Need Daylight Savings TimeWell not me. I think it's an antiquated boondoggle that creates more confusion and needless clock-fiddling than it's worth. It gets under my skin. And the latest outrage is that The New Master of Time and Space has moved when we "fall back" to November - after years of indoctrinating us to change our clocks at the end of October! WTF? Give me one good reason why Daylight Savings Time exists at all and I'll buy you a dinner at your fancy restaurant of choice. I'll tell you what else I hate about DST: not everybody uses it (think Arizona) and it's not universally similar (think Europe.) So what 's the point of this mishmash of time zones and what we claim to be Real Time that has NOTHING to do with the Earth's rotation around the Sun? Behind Schedule as Usual29 October 2007: The Plan was to have this post completed yesterday and up and running for you this morning. Didn't quite happen. For some reason, the trip to Houston took a lot out of me - not to mention my many worries and (tentative) Plans for the next phase of Life of Rod and how I'll earn income - and I slept A LOT this weekend. I was running on very low energy. Then, I realized this morning that my electric bill is due TODAY. So I had to dash out and take care of that, come back and deal with my ever-demanding e-mail queue, etc. Now I'm back to you, my lovelies. As soon as I complete this post and then attempt to edit it and design its new page, write up the RSS feed and upload the finished product, I need to gear up for the BlogTalkRadio broadcast. By the time that's over, I'll likely hear from my boss at Cinema Libre Studio how our weekend box-office went and get my new agenda for this week. By that time it will be late afternoon and I'll be pooped and start on a pot of chili. As the weather begins to feel more like Autumn, I'm SO ready for Comfort Food. Bet you might be, too. IF I don't get back to you before Halloween: "Boo!" I always say that adults choose Halloween costumes that reflect their true selves. Who are you going to dress-up as this year? Thanks for coming back to visit. Your Comments are always welcomed. BIG NEWS! You can now and henceforth find all of the G21 PODCASTS over at Blip.tv. Just click on the link http://blip.tv/users/view/g21guy and you can download to your iTunes or iPod and hear some of the thought leaders for this new century that I mean to bring to you. It will be updated with new episodes regularly, as you must know. You're welcome. This post's video comes to us from Jac9. Enjoy!: Cheers! RAKeep me in your prayers as I keep you in my own. Thanks for visiting. "Work like you don't need the money, "Love like you've never been hurt, "Dance like no one is watching ... " Talk to you in a day or so. Be well. Leave a Comment
